What kind of space are we talking about?

When I mean "space" I usually mean space as in the various space programs around the world. I'm interested in the technical aspect of space. More about how they get there and not where they are going. I am interested in how people would live and work in space. I am hooked on the International Space Station.

I am not interested in UFO's or conspiracy theories that say things about government cover ups and "we never went to the moon". Well, in my case I don't believe that there has been a Canadian on the moon so they are right in the case of Canada not going to the moon.

INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION

I love everything having to do with the International space Station. I have watched old videos, listened to countless hours of audio, and watched as many launches of the shuttle as well as other craft to the station in the past ten years. I am excited for what the station can teach us about working and living in space, researching issues that occur both in space and on the ground, and the scientific knowledge that can be gained from having the station in low earth orbit. Here are some of the resources having to do with the International Space Station.

Video concerning the station

This video is very long and it is the best video that gives you an idea of the size of the actual station, how much equipment is abord, along with the different modules that make up the whole. The European astronaut gives an in depth tour of the station providing a lot of commentary along the way. And yes, for those who are interested, he does discuss the toilets in space, which people seem to be fixated about. The video is shot in real time which gives you an idea of how big the station really is.
